A Few Frequently Asked Questions.
Q) Why are you less expensive than other Wedding Photographers offering virtually the same service ?
A) We don't use Expensive Advertising or attend Wedding Fayres. By keeping our costs low we can charge less. By charging less we get more Weddings. By getting more Weddings we can charge less, etc, etc.
Q) Why do you let couples have copyright of their images when other Wedding Photographers don’t ?
A) Most couples prefer to have control over their images. They’re more likely to recommend
us if they’ve not been charged silly expensive prices for something that they can easily do
for themselves. We would much prefer recommendations as apposed to retaining copyright
just to sell a few more prints etc. The way we work everybody’s happy.
Q) What format do you submit the images in ?
A) We shoot all images in RAW, then convert them to DNG (Digital Negatives). After
processing they’re converted to High Res jpeg files and given to you. If you prefer to have
them in RAW or DNG and convert them yourself then that’s perfectly O.K. with us.
Q) Do you carry spare equipment etc ?
A) Yes. We shoot on some of the finest Digital Equipment available and carry several back up
units of all equipment. (We’ve even got a spare Photographer).
Q) How long do you stay at the reception ?
A) We stay until a “Mock Cake Cutting” shot has been taken, just prior to the Wedding Breakfast. We do not normally stay until The First Dance as this would mean bumping up the price considerably for you to keep us there for several hours just to take one or two photographs, which to be perfectly honest are much better if they are recorded on a Video Camera.
“Check other photographers prices”. Some charge around £450-00 more than us to offer this service. Everything else they offer is virtually the same as us.
Q) How do you Archive the images ?
A) We Archive images on Two Separate hard drives kept at two different locations. We also
copy images on to archival quality DVDs kept at a third location. Nobody can guarantee
how long the files will remain usable. So as couples own their Wedding images it’s their
responsibility to make back up copies, and we strongly encourage them to do so.
Q) Why don't we see you at Wedding Fayres ?
A) We don't have the time to attend Wedding Fayres. It also costs a lot to exhibit at them, meaning we would have to pass the costs on by charging more. Most of our work comes from recommendations and the web.
Q) How far will you travel for a Wedding ?
A) Anywhere. Our price covers anywhere in Kent U.K. and we would not charge any extra
for surrounding areas nearby. Further afield would obviously incur expenses.
Q) Why does it usually take about three weeks before we get our photographs ?
A) The reason for the delay is because we fully correct all of your images for colour and any imperfections. We also need time to create your Album and get it to and from the printers.
