About George
Just A Little About George Knights Photographic Background And Experience.
George Knights Professional Photographic career began in South East London with a formal
training at the famous "South Thames Studios". Working and being trained at this busy
Commercial and Industrial Advertising studio by such greats as Al Ferdman, Bill Smith, and
Don Nightingale was indeed a tremendous privilege and gave George a thorough grounding
in all aspects of Professional Photography. Some of the finest training he received while at
this studio was in Wedding Photography, and it's still a huge buzz and honour for him to be
able to photograph a couples special day. That was before the days of Digital Cameras
when everything was shot on film. Naturally all of the work was processed in house, and part
of each working day would be spent in the darkrooms processing and printing negatives,
both in Colour and Black & White.
After leaving the studio George set up on his own, working as a Freelance Photographer,
covering Newspaper Work, Sports Photography and even the Miss World Contest.
He was still doing a lot of Studio and Location work for a number of prominent clients as
well as shooting several Calendars, loads of Portraits and of course lots of Weddings.
Since changing location to Folkestone Kent, things have changed considerably. Although
George still uses film for certain types of photography, (He'll even shoot a Wedding on film if
requested) most of his work is now done on some of the finest digital equipment available.
Together with many years experience using the very best photographic software, George is
able to produce photographs of the highest possible standard and quality, with the ability to
offer all the latest styles and techniques that modern photography is capable of.
Apart from covering his own Weddings. For a number of years George was one of the
leading Wedding Photographers for the National Wedding Centre (later to become Kodak)
photographing not just Weddings in Kent, but Weddings all over the South East of England.
Recent years have seen his cameras clicking away in the United States as well as the U.K.
The majority of his Wedding Photography is now done in and around South East England,
but George is happy to travel further afield in the U.K, or to foreign climes if requested.
